Which is fine; he stays where he is, just like Zoro is, unmoving, next to each other, still.
But even this listless, he looks uneasy. His brow is furrowed like in a bad sleep, like something is bothering him, and Luffy mirrors it, adding tilt to his head. It’s perhaps the stupidest thing of it all— if Zoro is gonna rest this early on, unwelcome as it is, he at least should find peace and calm to do it so. With that reasoning sound, Luffy reaches, runs his fingers on the soft skin between the brows, on the forehead, under eyes, until all lines fully smooth out and he can almost imagine his swordsman releasing a relieved sigh in response.
There, all better. Silly Zoro.Zoro has promised he is going to live, regardless of what’s to come; he simply can’t die— so when this promise gets broken, Luffy does the only reasonable thing that comes to mind.
Zoro’s life belongs to his captain, after all.AKA one time Zoro actually dies, OR Four times he lives for Luffy
