"The frantic pulse of fear doesn’t ease until Sam catches sight of Barnes for the first time since the end of the battle: he’s dirty and disheveled, and still, somehow, impossibly, the best thing Sam’s ever seen. The gallop of Sam’s heart slows, and the tightness in his lungs eases so suddenly that it’s like he’s gone buoyant, ready to float away without the help of any wings. Barnes turns as if he can sense Sam looking at him, and when he meets Sam’s eyes, he smiles, and it’s the brightest damn thing on this battlefield, a shock of sweetness in the midst of so much dark bitterness and confusion. Sam smiles back, giddy with joy and relief.
He thinks, thank God Bucky’s okay.

Summary
Loki’s lip curled, and he went to shove En Dwi’s hand away from his face. He was saved from having to do so, however, by a body muscling in between him and En Dwi, causing the offending limbs to slither away uselessly.
“Hey babe,” Came an unfamiliar voice, from a very unfamiliar yet very welcome man. “Sorry I took so long, there were roadworks.”
The man was older than Loki, although probably ages with En Dwi. His hair shone silver beneath the lights overhead, falling in artful waves around his face. He was dressed in a white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled to his elbows, with a pair of dark brown slacks and ankle boots. He was decently attractive, and also a fucking godsend.
~ en dwi (grandmaster) is loki's ex, and is bothering him at a bar. mobius steps in.

Loki smiled at the woman in acknowledgment before Sean continued his brother's explanation. "Yep! He's dad's boyfriend".
Dad's. Boyfriend. Dad's boyfriend. Dad's... boyfriend. DAD'S BOYFRIEND?!
Loki.exe has stopped working. Like those old TVA computers that inexplicably shut down only to reboot in the most torturously slow way; the god's sympathetic nervous system shut down, only to turn back on a second later with an adrenaline rush worthy of being chased by Zeus himself. Loki felt his jaw hit the floor, feeling stupidly hot for a damn frost giant. He was sure the coach and the boys had said something else, but his ears had stopped being useful the exact moment Sean ended his statement. What in the Nine Realms had just happened?

AU where Loki was rescued from that terrifying tree and got to live a happy life with Mobius in a new timeline. Basically, lots of family fluff.

Summary
Bucky is so competent that it hurts my feelings is not a rational complaint to have about a person, and yet, after a year of being Captain America and partnering up with Bucky for the new and improved, post-Blip Avengers, that’s kinda how Sam’s feeling.
It’s not great. It maybe leads to Sam making some rash, ill-advised decisions like claiming he has a previously undisclosed superpower, and then getting caught in a web of lies when he ends up actually developing that surprisingly inconvenient superpower. Talking to birds had seemed like a harmless superpower, but it turns out that birds have a lot of opinions, and they don’t hesitate to tell Sam about them, especially when it comes to his supposedly subpar courting skills. Which is ridiculous, because Sam isn’t courting Bucky. Right?
