“I’m not angry because I thought you died,” D’Agosta growled. His Budweiser, chilled to perfection when Proctor had handed it to him upon his arrival, sat forgotten and warm in a ring of sweat, the condensation pooling in a circle on the walnut side table.
“You are obviously experiencing some form of negative emotion attached to the events in Italy,” Pendergast countered calmly.
It irked the lieutenant that the man was so d— calm.

“C-Crowley?” Aziraphale asked tentatively, approaching the boy in the corner slowly before making the decision to kneel, reasoning that the feeling of someone looming over him might be unwelcome.
Crowley’s head snapped up, and Aziraphale saw his face clearly for the first time that night. Streaks of black were running down his cheeks, his eyes lined and winged, with silver powder on his eyelids. His lips were painted red. Even wrecked by tears, Aziraphale felt he’d never seen anything so beautiful.
“Please forget this, please. Don’t tell anyone. I don’t even know what this is. The… clothes, and… you know.” He ducked his head, and Aziraphale ran his thumb over his shoulder in another attempt at comfort. Crowley looked up to meet his eyes for a moment, cheeks flushed, before ducking his head and continuing. “I just know that I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it.”

This kind of relationship is new for both Aziraphale and Crowley, and the angel is trying to navigate how to behave in this new scenario. But as Crowley suddenly gets paranoid about him leaving again, things evolve very quickly.
