"John says there was a post put up about an hour ago, and a message back came through just now."
After the incredibly cathartic resolution with Soap's former husband's friend, Daniel - freeing his trapped selkie wives and murdering him - Price had called Nik to help with breaking the phone and getting all of Daniel's contacts, set up some sort of tracking that is far beyond Soap's understanding of technology. It sends an alert to Price's phone when certain code words or message threads come up, or when any of Daniel's contacts makes a suspicious post. Thus far they've managed to liberate selkies and merfolk from the clutches of another half-dozen human captors.
It's not a perfect system, so of course they do their due diligence, but the nature of these deals and the urgency of their sea-siblings' situations prompts them to act quickly when they get another alert.

Ghost doesn't tense or step back, but it's a close thing. "…Was it?" he manages, causing Soap to meet his eyes again. Soap knows how to read him, even through the mask. Ghost has no idea what he's seeing, now. "…Just a laugh?"

Santos raised her hand, but didn't wait to be called on: "Yeah, what's up with you wearing a wedding ring?"
It went off like a shot, a few gasps and mutters sounding out, Princess and Perlah leaning close, Jesse's eyebrows rising. Robby just stared at Santos for a silent beat, then turned to Shen. "Dr. Shen, if you'll start us off."
Ever unfazed, Shen simply bobbed his head. "Cool."

Summary
Despite Ghost's brutality and possessiveness, he's a good mate. Pushy because he knows Soap needs to be pushed. Domineering because he knows Soap is happy to accept it, to be brought to heel and follow his lead. Soap will never say a bad word about his mate, will never disparage Ghost or his behavior - he knew what he was getting into, happily followed the scent of Ghost's claim on him until he ended up in the wolf's den.
He knows Price and Gaz are concerned for him. They see the dark shadows under his eyes, brought on by the team's busy day schedule and then Ghost's nocturnal instincts rarely allowing him a full night's rest. They see the way Soap doesn't even take a piss without looking to Ghost for permission.
They're human. They don't understand, but Soap doesn't need them to.
