Summary
“You know,” Percy confessed, as he clasped the pendant around his neck, “I was fighting to stay a demigod. I had a whole plan. Stay mortal, get a job, be normal.” He chuckled softly.
Apollo looked at him, blue eyes searching the dark. “You said had?”
“Then you showed up at New Rome, mortal, and dove into Tartarus after me… a bunch of sentient Rivers decided I was their King, and I fell in love with The Sun...” Percy gave a weak smile. “So, I guess I need a new plan.”
What if Zeus cast Apollo down as the mortal Lester Papadopoulos right after the First Great Prophecy ended?
What if Percy Jackson and Jason Grace went missing for two whole years instead of six months?
A canon-divergence featuring two years of Lester trying to convince camp he’s Apollo, two years of Percy lost to the Roman ranks, a descent into the pits of hell, five sentient rivers kneeling before a new King, and Gaea finding out what happens when you anger the newly minted Consort of the Sun.
(Percy is still trying to figure out if that title comes with health insurance.)
