Summary
"Shinsou." Mic starts, more serious than Hitoshi has ever heard him. "Is everything okay at home?"
At home? No, Hitoshi thinks, nothing is okay at home. Why would Mic be asking about that? He's sure that his file says he's in the system, but nobody has ever inquired about his home life before. Why is Mic looking at him like that? Like he sees right through him?
"Everything is fine." Hitoshi says. It has to be. Everything has to be fine, because it could all be so much worse. At least he has food, a bed, a chance to escape the muzzle. At least, at least, at least.
OR
Hitoshi is in a bad foster home, Shouta and Hizashi realize and get him out.

Shouta looks concerned? Sad? Definitely not like he relates to the feeling. Hizashi is going to have to describe the whole concept, aren't they? They should probably stop talking, but that's never been their strong suit.

Hizashi comes out as genderfluid. Shouta helps and encourages them to make a few changes.

Summary
"Are you alright?" Hizashi asked, concern evident in his scent. That was weird. Shouta could smell him much better than usual. "Normally you're under a bunch of blankets. It's a little cold in here, even for me."
Something in the back of Shouta's mind decided that was completely unacceptable. Hizashi was cold and he needed to do something about it. Logically, he knew that Hizashi would be okay. That if he was really that cold he could get a blanket for himself. Rationally, he knew that the comment had been more about Shouta's abnormal behavior than Hizashi's temperature.
Typically Shouta was a very rational and logical person. He attributed most of it to his hero training and overall personality, but would but the first to acknowledge some of it had to do with his designation. Betas were seldom plagued by the instincts that effected their alpha and omega peers.
OR
Shouta thinks he's a beta. He's not.

Summary
They both know the truth, he may as well just say it.
“I think I’m in love with you” Hizashi manages, and it’s really with much less delicacy or beauty than he’d wished, but at least it’s out there. He figures the rest of the conversation will be predictable: easy and fast. Then they can both get back to ignoring it.
What he doesn’t expect is the quiet intake of breath from Shouta, the slight widening of his eyes, the subtle surprise in his face. The expression leaves as quickly as it came, and his eyebrows furrow once more in an attempt to conceal any emotion.
