Summary
After their first kiss, Aloy can't convince herself to leave yet, so she decides to stay one more night to celebrate with Seyka. Mercifully this doesn't involve bilge blaze or other people, but Seyka does surprise her with a meal and a gift. Without anything trying to kill them, they have a chance to talk which leads to Aloy sharing more about herself than she intends. Also more kissing since once definitely isn't enough.

Vi shook her head, too fast. “You don’t know what you saw.”
“I do. I saw finger marks, Vi. Around your throat.” Caitlyn’s voice rose despite herself, and her eyes were sharp, searching. “Are you really going to pretend I imagined that?”
Vi looked cornered. Her body tensed, as if every muscle inside her had seized up. Her eyes darted to the pavement, to the trees, to anywhere but Caitlyn.
“I don’t—” she started, her voice small.
“Why won’t you let me care about you?” Caitlyn asked, her voice cracking. “Why won’t you let me in? Is this even a friendship if you won’t let me help?”

Harvard AU where Caitlyn has a crush on the soccer jock, but Vi keeps pulling away. Caitlyn knows she’s hiding something—she just doesn’t know what.

Powder is sick, and Vi is willing to do anything she can to save her. Even if that means losing herself in the process.

Another beat.
“Get out of the way, would you?” Said the stranger, who wasn’t a stranger at all.
Felicia’s jaw dropped.

But she's always on about the kids. War orphans or Firelight family members. Full of enough energy to power an airship, and on some days, it's Vi's job to burn it. Her grins are always widest on those evenings, so utterly proud of herself, the tiny lives she's impacting.
Caitlyn smiles shakily. "You're very good with them."
"They're just little people," Vi deflects sheepishly, setting her cloth down, kicking her slippers in opposite directions.
"And yet, I've never had the knack," Caitlyn watches Vi's satisfied little grin stay stuck across her face, and she just about makes up her mind. "I suppose I can… I-I can learn."
With their wedding on the horizon, Caitlyn inevitably considers what may come after. But where is there room to want, when what comes after is an expectation?
(OR: Caitlyn isn't sure she and Vi are on the same page. But she'd do anything for her.)
