Summary
By the time Anakin is twenty, the easy frequency with which he says “I love you” to Obi-Wan is almost a joke. Everyone certainly takes it as one, not paying them any attention.
Anakin bows with exaggerated drama, winks at Obi-Wan, and then strides away to join Ahsoka by the lifts.
Obi-Wan rolls his eyes, playing into the farce. If he doesn’t, then equilibrium will be lost. "Anakin! No cavorting with smugglers this time!" he calls out to his one-time Padawan, only to get an insultingly dismissive wave, less of an "I heard you" and more of a "sure, old man."
