“Finished! Finally!” Kaveh cried tears of joy, throwing his hands up in the air victoriously. “You see Hayi? I finally finished it!” Kaveh then proceeded to laugh like a maniac.
“I see how it turned you mad at last, just about time,” Alhaitham answered, not surprised with how Kaveh acted. After having to stay up for two days straight and only sleep when Alhaitham forced him to, no wonder his brain was not really in its place right now.
Alhaitham had been warned before he asked Kaveh out, dating an Architecture Student won't be easy. But surely it won't be that hard, right?

Summary
In the aftermath of Rukkhadevata's death, calamity befell the Nation of Wisdom at the hands of a false god. In desperation, a contract was forged between Sumeru and Celestia. Every nine years, the finest architect of Kshahrewar is burned with the ancient runes of the divine agreement and sent to continue construction on the Fallen God's labyrinth. In their inevitable death, they hopefully satiate the enraged deity for another nine years until another can be chosen to replace them.
Kaveh is the Light of Kshahrewar after all, so it's no surprise that he awakens one night to a fervent knocking at his door and a letter sealed with the red wax stamp of the Akademiya, demanding his immediate presence as the next Master Architect.

Kaveh struck gold when he secured his latest commission - a young, wealthy aristocrat from Fontaine with a big dream to bring a piece of her homeland's culture to Sumeru. The structure will be massive and intricate, and she's promised Kaveh a handsome sum of mora if he can make her dream a reality. Who was Kaveh to refuse such a promising offer?
Should he succeed, he could repay his debt and be able to move out of Alhaitham's house in no time!
But throughout the week he was preparing the first blueprint draft, Alhaitham brought him plates of food, chiding Kaveh about his horrible sleep schedule and lack of eating each time he entered Kaveh's room. It was annoying, but...wouldn't he miss it? Wouldn't he miss Alhaitham?
No way.
