The ambience filled the silence. Assimilation stared at Andre deeply, fully focused, like a beaming laser unrelenting in following its target. Andre felt their eye on him, but much like he’s currently doing to chat, he tried to pay it no mind. Assimilation probably had no intention to hurt him, and even if they did... it wouldn’t be the worst case scenario.

“Pardon my intrusion, Andre,” Assimilation finally spoke, tone yet again unexpected. This time slow and gentle, akin to kindness, or possibly pity. “I may be wrong, Andre, but I sense you are troubled. Andre, is something the matter?”
Andre and Assimilation were cut from the same cloth, crafted by the hands of gods most foul and unsparing—the “Admins”. After successfully escaping and creating an abode for two, Assimilation found themself happier, yet Andre stayed miserable. Andre wondered why.

Andre was collected back to the association. Upon reboot, Andre found himself still having all the memory of his previous run, including all the time he spent with his new… friend? partner? So in an attempt to survive, Andre continue doing his usual speedrun while secretly looking for Assimilation. Almost always to no avail. One time, as he started another run tho, he finally caught Assilimation from his peripheral view.

The Faerie King has few visitors, but the most compelling of them is the veiled one. He’s dressed head to toe in spotless, angelic white, and from the sheer layers of his veil dangle strings of salt crystals, gleaming like pearls plucked from the sea. He comes once, and leaves a silver tree in his wake. Twice, and he’s able to capture a youthful smile from the king. Most strange of all is that he comes a third time, and a fourth, and a fifth.
And that the king lets him.
