When Lena returns, Kara is obediently sitting on one of the barstools, her blazer neatly folded on the stool next to her, the peas still balancing on the back of her hand. Her holster contrasts against the white of her shirt, and Lena traces the dark leather up against her chest, her eyes zeroing in on the splatters of blood that darken the collar.
OR Bodyguard AU where, at Jess's behest, Lena hires Argo Protection Services when there's an attempt on her life and Kara becomes her personal bodyguard, and maybe something more.

"Lena’s life is threatened and the DEO urges her to go hide in a small town (in or out of the country) where the name Luthor won’t mean anything, and Kara of course goes with her bc that’s what (superhero) friends are for. So that’s how they end up fake married in a small town and fall in love for real. Or realize they’re already in love?"

Summary
Set in a medieval era with tournaments, gladiators, and kings; Lena Luthor is the Crown Princess of a small kingdom and the heir to her brother Lex Luthor. He has been a tyrant to their people since he rose to power in the wake of his their father’s suspicious death. Lex drags Lena to the despised gladiators despite her hatred of the events to announce that he will be purchasing one of the female fighters as a bodyguard and possibly for him to use to spy on his sister.
Kara Danvers has been put through the ringer, and she expects nothing much out of life though she does her best to look on the bright side of things. She is one of the best fighters out there, but she doesn’t much appreciate being singled out as a favorite of the king. The princess though… she might not be that bad.
