Summary
A mechanical clink sounded by Kihachi's head, but nothing changed. He frowned.
“I-Is the light broken?” Kihachi rasped, taking as deep of a breath as he dared.
There was a pause before Inako spoke. Her voice trembled in a way that Kihachi had come to recognize as her ‘try-really-hard-not-to-cry-but-end-up-crying-anyways’ voice.
“No,” Inako whispered. “The light is on.”
...
Written after episode 7 and before episode 9. Just a side story/scene that popped into my head as I was watching Inako and Kihachi run for their lives from Mizoe. Shoutout to Kihachi's fear of the dark it is truly the gift that keeps on giving ✌️
