Summary
When Sam Winchester is four years old, a motel explodes and he is assumed dead. Guilt and fear keep the remaining two Winchesters together for a while, then tears them apart. Left behind by John, Dean finds a life with Bobby and Pastor Jim. He goes to college, gets a good job, and is discovered to be one of the country's best shooters. On his way to compete in Shooting at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, he meets swimmer Sam Polanski and finds there are greater prizes than bronze, silver, or even gold. “I’m decorating for Halloween,” Mark says, gesturing to the inflatable ghost on the lawn, the fake spiderwebs and decorations on the front porch of their little house.
“Oh,”Helena says with a little shrug. “I didn’t know that there were special decorations.”
“Really?”
“Well I’ve never celebrated Halloween before.”
“Wait, you've never celebrated Halloween?” he asks in disbelief. “Like…ever?”

Summary
Helly stands up from her desk, feeling weak and shaky. She locks eyes with Mark, who isn’t doing much better. There’s a roaring in her ears as Milchick continues to talk, but she can’t focus on him. All she can focus on is Mark, and how sad and scared he looks. How she’s gotten so used to him, how she just realized she likes him, and how suddenly, thanks to his outie, she’s about to lose him forever.

When MDR finds out Mark S’s outie has tendered his resignation, they’ve got two weeks to do something about it. Unbeknownst to them, they might have some help on the outside, too.

Sometimes, when Mark is taken over by guilt, some residual instinct of the severed floor tells him to begin the litany again.
Forgive me for the harm I have caused this world
But he easily snaps out of it. His whole life outside of Lumon reminds him of the absolute bullshit that that is.
When guilt washes over Helena, it’s much harder to fight back. She repeats the words because, for most of her life, Helena didn’t have one outside of Lumon.
