Summary

this is mostly an experiment on myself - I find that often when I post something it actually motivates me to make it better so the hope is that by posting these I will rewrite them :-) -

The bitter truth of it all was that both Pete Mitchell and Charlie Blackwood had not wanted to be parents.
But Charlie wasn't going to abort the child and Pete would never ask her to. They were barely even dating, they had never really been dating. And Goose had just died and Carole was all by herself, and Charlie had just gotten her new job in DC. So when the child is born, he's not exactly either of their first priorities. It just happens that he never manages to climb that list.

Jacob Thomas Seresin-Mitchell was born on the coldest, darkest night of January in the middle of nowhere, Texas. Seresin is Charlie's mothers maiden name, and of course he gets his fathers last name. He has Pete's eyes and Charlies hair.

Summary
There are times when — after not having had company for too long, Shanks realizes how in spite of his general charm and simply wonderful crew, he does require a certain level of… more intimate human connection. In his earlier years, before he lost his arm, before he even earned his title as an emperor — this time of necessary human interaction was easily dealt with by a visit to either a bar, or later, Mihawk. Afterward, it is much harder for him to deal with such an issue. Has this led Shanks to making what others may call, “stupid decisions” ? Maybe so.
This is all to say that Shanks had meant to only have a one night stand with Trafalgar Law - and he is very much aware that this entanglement should not have lasted as long as it has (and continues to last)

Illumi has the fight playing on the TV, not quite able to look at it but listening as the announcer calls out each kick too the head with barely professional glee. From the sound half the arenas been blasted open, the screams from the audience getting picked up on the booth mic.
If he looks he knows what he'll see. Hisoka running ragged, losing a fight he can't win. Blood staining his teeth.
But smiling, always smiling.

Law tilted his head to the side, keeping his face forward as he eyed his left. Luffy was in the cell beside him, though the wall between them was solid. It wasn’t soundproof, though, and Luffy was definitely audible, currently talking at the Marine stationed outside his door, seemingly not noticing or caring that the officer looked as if his forehead vein was about to pop out of his head.
