Andrew sat on the soft sand at the beach. Everything was dark around him. Dark and quiet. The only thing he was able to hear was the sound of the ocean. During the day it was a source of quiet for him. Now, it was a threatening force. The waves were like monsters, coming out of the ocean, grabbing for him. Trying to pull him down in the depth of the darkness for good. They kept crawling nearer and nearer, until they returned back to the rest of the water. But they didn’t even need to try. The darkness had already surrounded him a long time ago. His soul was lost and there was nothing he was able to do about it.

Dennis is just trying to catch his breath in the ambulance bay. They're caught up on the morning nursing home rush as much as they can be and it's only about noon. For a half second, he thinks Dr. Abbott is stumbling towards him, covered in blood. He only notices when he's nearly in front of Abbott’s doppelganger that he's wearing shorts and there's a flesh and bone leg where his prosthetic should be.
“Hey, you look like you could use some help,” Dennis says, reaching out to offer his arm but not touching him. “I'm Dr. Whitaker.”
