“Why do you hate me so much?”
Katsuki hesitated for half a second.
The question wasn’t uncalled for. Despite his anger, he was fully aware that Deku didn’t deserve to be the target of his resentment.
None of that stopped him from uttering his next words. “You should have stayed quirkless.”
Deku stumbled back as if the words had physical weight. His face flushed, eyes widening in disbelief before anger overtook it. “You’re jealous that All Might gave me his Quirk? Seriously?”
“Jealous?” Katsuki scoffed. “You really don't get it, do you? I would give almost anything to have been born quirkless.”
