OR Taken by the wild hunt, nobody remembers Stiles and Peter. When the two of them find themselves stuck in supernatural limbo, they have to put aside their differences to work together and figure out a way home. But...what if the journey home is a lot further than they first thought? When the opportunity presents itself that they might have the chance to rewrite the past, avoid the wild hunt altogether, and save the people they love without them getting hurt, there's only one catch: they have to become mates in order to survive.

Peter taps the screen and is surprised to see that he's been sent a text message from an unknown number.
the text just reads:
[>> hey]
He sends back a reply, [<< Who is this and how did you get my number?]
His phone buzzes once more as a new text comes through, and while Peter had been half expecting it to be some stupid kid who got the wrong number, instead the person who has texted him is someone he knows.
[>> oops, my bad lol. It's Stiles.]
OR, the post-season 6 AU where everyone but Stiles is at college and Peter just so happens to be on speed dial when things go wrong. Or, through a series of strange and awkward encounters, and text convos, mixed with some loneliness and trauma bonding, Stiles and Peter find an unlikely companionship in one another.

Summary
She knows, logically, that whatever's happening between them can't be more than what it is: him, her bodyguard, a dutiful man fulfilling the agreed-upon terms of his contract and keeping her safe, and her, his charge, bossing him whichever way she feels fit.
That, it shouldn't have gone any further than it did, then it has, but it's too late to take any of it back, so they just have to deal with what comes next like the adults they are. That a single night shared between them doesn't have to mean anything. Well, it doesn't. It can't. It's what Rhaenyra tells herself when she feels his stare, intense as it always is, lingering on her as she sips on her coffee and tries to ignore how his attention brings back memories of that same heavy dark, blue gaze of his looking up at her from between her legs.
And no matter how desire pools in her gut, leaving her wanting for something she can't have, or how it battles with the fear that comes just as strongly, Rhaenyra spends her morning reasoning with herself about all the ways that everything could go wrong if anybody ever found out about what transpired between them as she lets her eyes catch his over the rim of her mug.

“What are you doing here?”
“I thought it was obvious,” Peter says, casually reaching across her and grabbing an apple out of the fruit basket sitting on the counter and biting into it. “I’m here to help.”
Stiles scoffs. “ Oh, sure, ” she drawls in disbelief. “Just out the goodness of your heart, you’ve decided to help me then, right?”
Peter tilts his head to the side, looking hurt. “Is it so hard to believe that I actually want to help?”
“Coming from you?” Stiles pretends to ponder for a moment. “ Yes. ”
OR, the Steter fic where after being distanced from the pack Stiles's magic starts going off the fritz, and the only person able to help her control it is Peter. (Or the one where they go on a road trip, find themselves, and maybe fall a little bit in love during the process.)
