Summary
Inspired by Jim Gordon's presumptions, Ed and Oswald are given an opportunity to gain what they both want - with the added bonus of getting one over on the GCPD. Ed can have Oswald help him on his way to becoming the criminal he was born to be in the wake of Miss Kringle's death, and Oswald gains an insider into the police as well as a sorely needed friend.
There's no way this could divert from their plan.
