The Void was cold. Scott knew that, though he couldn’t feel it. His species had, thankfully, evolved to be immune to all but the coldest of cold. But he could tell by how much everyone else was shivering.
Joel and Lizzie were huddled together in the corner, quiet whisperings being the only thing carrying through the vacuum of the Void. Everyone else was mostly huddled in the middle, with people occasionally shooting worried glances at the two in the corner. Tango seemed to be the only other one unaffected, flames flickering through his hair.

Jimmy colored faintly pink at Scott’s words, but it soon disappeared.
“But,” Scott continued, “They are willing to marry families with high appointments. And you are the only ones who are the right age. I’m not sending the Lord of the Southlands to marry a teen. So here’s my proposal: There are two candidates. They’re both coming at the end of the week. Once you’ve met them, you can decide who’s marrying who. Please?”
He finished the sentence with a question, but all of them knew they would accept the offer. Scott was their closest friend, and they would do anything to help them.
They all nodded.

I have seen maybe three streams total for Bannerfall and my knowledge of canon comes almost complete from fanfics. We’ll see where this goes.
