Summary
Reposting, originally posted on fanfiction.net but I thought it might get read now that the sequel is out. Originally written back in 2013. This whole story started as a dream I had. Andy stumbles upon some information about Miranda in the course of her journalistic career. Miranda’s response is as dramatic as you would expect. Someday I might even write a sequel or an epilogue.

Summary
Written for the Queer Fest Prompt: Susan Pevensie; Susan didn't die when her friends and family did...not because she's no longer a friend of Narnia, but because Aslan still has plenty for her to do back on Earth--coming to terms with being lesbian, bi, trans or genderqueer, for one thing, and finding ways of helping and/or supporting people like herself in post-WWII Britain, for another.

Summary
Nancy Wheeler is good at noticing things. Patterns, inconsistencies, the small changes people hope no one will see.
So, when Robin Buckley starts jumping away from her, flinching, and apologizing far more than she ever did before, Nancy notices every time.OR, an angsty 5+1 with hurt/comfort where Nancy's observation skills may be excellent, but that doesn't always mean she gets the deduction right 100% of the time.

Summary
Nancy can't stop watching Robin: the way she talks, laughs, fidgets, loves. But, more and more, how sad she is too. Nancy’s not sure why she cares so damn much about finally understanding this girl —or about seeing her happy— but she’s accepted the goal all the same. And Nancy was nothing if not goal-oriented.
Robin knows she shouldn’t think this way. That she should “count her blessings”, and “love herself”, and rah-rah-rah. I mean, yes, so much of her life is beautiful, and she knows that! But Hawkins, for all its eldritch horrors, has a way of making her feel like she’s the one that people would call a monster. And after all this time… well, words begin to stick.
—
AKA: Robin deals with being gay in the 80s, and Nancy learns that being a hero means more than just killing monsters.
Featuring: curious eyes, a loss of hope, surprising allies, an Indianapolis gay club, summer heat waves (in more ways than one), a rewritten season five, and the origin story of a life-changing love.
