    Summary

“I’m with child,” Aerion said cooly. “So no, my dear Daeron, I am not getting fat. I am merely eating for two.”

“Child?” The dumb creature he had let into his bed asked blankly, “where?”

Duncan’s armor creaked as he bent and peered under the heavy table. Daeron sucked in a sharp breath.

“What madman was stupid enough to stick their cock in you?”

A booming thunk as the table rattled on its legs. Duncan let out a muffled curse and crawled back out. Color had drained from his face. Aerion ignored his quiet panicked attempts to catch his gaze and selected another grape from the offerings, red this time.

Aegon jumped up onto his chair, bald little head cocked to the side. “Are you— truly?”

“Oh, Father is going to kill you,” Daeron observed as he snatched a goblet and filled it with light summer wine. “After he flays the skin from the man that seeded you.”

(Or the countdown for Dunk's impending demise by Maekar's mace.)

    Summary

A cold, clipped voice from the hallway: "If you drop the clutch like that again, Wat, I’ll make you push the car back to Bethnal Green."

Dunk looked over his shoulder. First, a ginger kid crawled out of the hallway.

    And behind him...

Pale hair, cut short. Packed tight into a leather jacket and washed denim. Dunk’s gaze dipped to the bright yellow creps.

The Bride, straight out of Kill Bill.

Or: London 2010. F1 driver Aerion gets exiled to a shit-tier community centre run by his nan to teach locals how to drive. Dunk, an Olympic Stadium scaffolder and pub-rugby hustler, goes straight to the same spot to finally sort his driving licence for the car old man Arlan left him.

    Summary

“Your true mate will kneel before seven and carry green beneath steel. No dragon will bow its neck to them, yet seven dragons will answer the blood you make together.”

Daemon Targaryen is fifteen when a witch beneath Dragonstone tells him that he has a true mate.

    She gives him a warning.

    Daemon hears a promise.

For ten years, he convinces himself the prophecy points to Rhaenyra—until Ser Gwayne Hightower, Otto Hightower’s sharp-tongued omega son, knocks him from his horse before half the realm.

Gwayne is a knight who has spent his life fighting every man determined to make his designation more important than his sword. Daemon is an alpha prince who has spent his life mistaking blood for destiny, possession for devotion, and certainty for truth.

Neither wants the political marriage Viserys arranges between them.

Unfortunately, neither is very good at ignoring the other.

Fate may have named them. Choosing each other is another matter entirely.

    Summary

Criston stiffened, and his breath paused. An awful sensation, cold enough to numb, had begun to clamber up his limbs, wrenching him into place.

    In he breathed.

As the brisk air of dawn rattled into his lungs, he rasped hoarsely against the thunderous, sudden agony spurting in from every orifice, wriggling between tendons and joints. In he breathed.

As man scorned god, god scorned man. He belonged to no faith, and thus none would claim him.

"Seven Hells," swore some unseen stranger - no friend or foe. "Look at the state o' ye, lad!"

Otherwise: Criston Cole survives the Butcher's Ball, and feverishly follows his new, burning purpose south towards Tumbleton.
