Summary
Before Buck can go back to work after recovering from his injuries from the ladder truck crushing his leg, he finds himself struggling in more ways than one, leading to him having to move back into his Jeep after he thought he'd never have to again. Struggling to believe he deserves the help he needs, he keeps this secret to himself, accepting that maybe it's just what he deserves.

(Ps I mainly chose lawsuit era so that the kids could be closer in age 🤷🏻 if you don't like lawsuit era fics I swear that it's not super relevant past a certain point in the fic. It's very buddie heavy and cute and silly for the most part)

Summary
Given that Buck wasn't expecting Eddie to come out to him, he's too stunned to think rationally, leading to the two of them hooking up. Then, a few months later, Buck is shocked to learn that he's been carrying around a secret passenger all this time.

“What’s it like?”
“Hmm?”
“Sex… with a man,” Eddie supplies, face turning rosy as Buck’s intrigue heightens. “I’ve just been thinking about it a lot.”
“You’ve… been thinking about sex with men… a lot?” Buck asks, slightly flabbergasted by the admission.
“Doesn’t sound like a straight thing for you to do,” Buck jokes.
And when he watches Eddie, expecting a chuckle out of him, he instead sees him take a deep breath before admitting, “Maybe because I’m not.”
“Wow, that– That’s awesome, Eddie. I am proud of you. Thank you for, uh, being– For telling me.”
“Buck, you don’t have to, y’know, say you support me, or whatever. Obviously I know that,” Eddie says, and Buck nods because yeah. “Just… answer my original question.”
The surprise at Eddie’s unexpected coming out, and the way it’s making Buck’s brain sort of short-circuit is at fault for what he says next.
“I could just show you.”
