    Summary

Clark doesn’t ask who died and who survived. Asking will make it real and he wants to spend a little more time in a world where everyone he loves is still alive. “You were right, weren’t you?”

Or: The Justice League is defeated by marauding aliens and their collective enemies find they don’t much care for that.

But there's Mizuki, grinning as they reached for him, their laughter echoing towards the skies while they dragged him into puddle after puddle, creating splashes of wonder, healing his wounds; Ena, who scoffs at Mizuki's antics and offers a nonchalant comment in exaggerated pity, squinting at her most recent pictures taken of the pair; Kanade, concealed by the uncanny comfort of Ena's umbrella, smiles to herself at the sight.
