Eddie wasn’t the first boy Steve had felt this way about. There had been others in the past. Teammates in basketball, competitors from opposing school swim meets, friends of friends from tailgates. But all had been quickly forgotten after a stolen glance, an all too friendly nudge or a compromising touch that told more than Steve wanted it to. Of course no one else knew - he was Steve Harrington - the King of Hawkins High and well known ladies man. If he ignored those moments then the feelings were buried and he didn’t have to think about them.
Then along came Eddie Munson.
