Summary
In one tapestry, the gods were blessed with a plethora of children and descendants. But with so many blessings, their once joy at their children turned to expectation and ambivalence. The fates were all but tangled in the abundant threads they had at their fingertips to work into their weaves.
Another much more tragic tapestry was threadbare in comparison. The Fates having little to work with. Their work thin and frayed from over worked and broken threads.
Surely no one would notice if some threads went missing from an over full basket?

Summary
Wishing for favorable air currents does not manifest them. You ride the currents you have, or you don't fly. An old skyfowl proverb that Mordecai knew very well. He had never planned on having a child, let alone doing so when he was unmated. Yet here he was. He had a very drunken one-night stand, could not remember the father of his egg and frankly did not want to track him down. He could do this all on his own. He had his brother Uzzi by his side to help him when he needed it. Mordecai could handle this. That's what he thought until his egg hatches and the baby isn't what he was fully expecting. Children are hard to raise, hybrid children come with their own set of challenges.

Summary
What is the first thing that pops into your mind when you hear the word apocalypse? Zombies. For me, it was always zombies. I was a big fan of The Walking Dead until it became boring, maybe that's why.
Second, maybe a virus. That's what you'd think, right? Or a natural disaster. An asteroid, like with the dinosaurs. All that is to say, an intergalactic reality TV show where you fight for your life while the most annoying AI on the planet turns your biggest insecurities into a joke was not on my top fifty list. Not even top hundred, to be honest.
But, man, that's exactly what happened.
I can't say that, if I'd known beforehand, I would've done anything differently. I sure wouldn't have hit the gym more or taken up martial arts. At least I gamed a lot. I knew a bit about mechanics. And I'd watched enough crappy reality shows to know what people liked. But when it's the end of the world and everything—and everyone—you've ever loved is gone, what's the point of playing? Why do you keep moving? To save the world? To save your cat? Maybe.
Or maybe you're just a coward, and you refuse to die an easy death.Bookmarked by Snicole98

Summary
Things get infinitely more complicated for neighbors-turned-allies-turned-friends(?) Carl and Mel when they descend to the third floor of the dungeon. Not only does Mel now have an entirely new set of skills to master, but the audience is starting to get ravenous, and the space politics only become more complicated. All of that, combined with wrangling Donut and an increasingly powerful Mongo? They'll have their paws—I mean hands—full.
