Izuku stiffened. He knew Aizawa-sensei wasn’t like his old teachers, he knew Aizawa-sensei wouldn’t make fun of him, or force him to say anything at all. “I-I, I don’t know anymore. Everything just sucks.” He left out the details, still hesitant on what to tell him. Izuku didn’t realise the stinging pain on his cheeks, that once again, those stupid tears started welling up in his eyes. “Do things ever get easier?”
“No. They never do.” Izuku’s eyes widened, the truth was painful but he didn’t expect Aizawa sensei to put it so bluntly. “You only get stronger, the weight only gets easier to carry, but once in a while, you loosen your grip. The pain and guilt, it all comes crashing back down onto you.”
