Afterwards Francis could not really recall how he had packed his bags or bought the ticket. The fog around him didn’t feel like a soft blanket suffocating him anymore, now it felt like a violent, oppressive force pressing down on him. And it clung to him tightly as he boarded the Greyhound bus, as he settled down and took to staring out of the window.

He wasn’t a superhero. He didn’t even have a costume, and he wouldn’t be able to think one up if he tried. As a kid, he tied a towel around his neck for a cape (after getting in trouble for tearing up his bed sheets) and pretended his Nana’s old church hat was a cowl. But Launchpad wasn’t a kid anymore, and he knew better than to think he would ever be good enough for Darkwing.

He reaches for the remote and pauses the TV before the buzzing beneath his skin makes him explode or something.
Abed turns to him with a frown already on his face, to which Troy quickly blurts, “I’ve been taking a barber class. With Jeff.”
The frown morphs into something more confused, though Abed is still visibly displeased at the fact Troy’s interrupted the film for that. Right. It only makes sense in Troy’s head that Abed is due a haircut and that’s why this is relevant.
“And your hair’s getting a little long,” he says, unable to help beating around the bush a little, embarrassment lapping at his ankles for some weird reason. This isn’t weird. It’s just him helping his best friend out.
