A year had passed since Jax's abstraction. While it seemed like the rest of the circus members had moved on from it, Pomni is still struggling with the affects. Caine, however, might have found a possible solution to fix not just Jax, but the rest of the abstracted members. (I am really bad at summaries because I go into writing with a super loose idea of where I want the story to go... so I don't know what to really put because I don't fully know where things will actually go.. but I hope you come along for this ride with me.)

Summary
Pomni has sealed memories from when her parents died as child. As the sixth month mark of Jax’s abstraction gets closer, she finds herself having more and more mental breakdowns, until one day she suffers a devastating breakdown that simultaneously causes those sealed memories to resurface - overloading the system, and leaving her catatonic. But as Caine and Kinger try to find a way to bring her back, they find that not all hope is lost, and that this may have been the very miracle they’ve been looking for. For the first time since the beginning, abstraction may no longer be a permanent state.

Maybe pulling him out with her was a mistake…
Causing pain for herself was one thing but dragging Jax out of his abstracted form only to have him suffer the ramifications of her actions was entirely different. Pomni could understand if he was furious with her.

Pomni awakes from a dream yet again, the same one every so often. A dark space with one purple lamppost still illuminating them. The final words Jax utters before the end clinging to her. She’s now somehow out of the circus, once again flung back into routine, lack of friends or meaning beyond her work. One day, she finds herself out of coffee in her decrepit livelihood, forced to break routine. Just another night to bear, to hold on to. And yet...

Why should he face them?
How could he face them?

Or: Jax doesn't care about life or death anymore and has decided he'll just let fate take the lead. Unfortunately for him Pomni doesn't want anyone to abstract.
