Summary
The sky was clear and the moon was full, bathing the landscape below in silver light. Gale's eyes watered as a great wave of nostalgia rolled through him; so similar was it to the night he first left home some twenty years ago, laughing with giddy excitement as he tuned his father's radio.
But he was no longer that child, with a heart filled with hope for the future. Now his knees ached from how they bent to keep him seated on the broom, and the wind that whipped past chilled him straight to the bone.
Waterdeep lay before them, the City of Splendors. Or so Gale assumed from what he had been told; he'd never laid eyes on it himself, having spent his life in far smaller communities. Truthfully the thought of establishing himself in a city of that size was daunting, but there was something tempting in the anonymity of a place so large. No one would have any inkling of who he was; both a blessing and a burden.

Summary
Astarion was not a hero but he was stubborn to the last and he was so damn tired of losing. He stood his ground, snarling in the face of his enemies as they descended upon him. Without the element of surprise and with no one else to distract them he was at a severe disadvantage. But he fought with the ferocity of a cornered animal, the option to run now so far from his mind that it may as well not have existed. He would live or die by his decision to stay.

Summary
"You are an absolute menace," Gale says with no heat in his voice, "What exactly is your objective, if I may be so bold as to inquire?"
"My only desire is to spend a pleasant evening with my beloved husband and his devastatingly boring coworkers."
Gale glances around to ensure no one is paying them any mind before asking quietly, "And how does fondling me through my trousers factor into that desire?"
"I cannot help but notice you have yet to ask me to stop."

Astarion and Gale sneak off to find their own entertainment at a boring work party.

Summary
"I’ll admit to you, Astarion,” she leaned in, and so did he, “I’ve felt that chill on the wind. The shadows… they’re different out there. Things watch from them. And it’s not like in the Southern wood, no; it’s not the fey trying to trap you in beds of bleeding hearts. These things send a shiver down your spine. They make you hope that the Royals keep the Sun-magic going, like they promised they would, and that the people in the outerlands don’t start turning toward the fanciful promises of the Moon.”
Gale rules the Kingdom of the Sun. Astarion is his ever-loyal Spymaster and, behind closed doors, his lover. For years, they have maintained this careful balance... but a shadow passes over the land, forcing them to contend with old truths they would rather keep hidden.

Summary
The hand removed itself from his forehead. “Temperature is normal,” Gale announced, before using its fingers to gather some stray drool that had trailed down Astarion’s jaw. Before Astarion could register the pitiful jolt of arousal at the sudden skin contact or the sheer absurdity of what Gale was doing, Gale had stuck its fingers in its mouth.
“What the —”
“No new bacteria detected,” Gale went on, “Ruling out food poisoning.”
“Oh, Gods,” Astarion groaned. “And to think that these things are what’s sending our workforce into a tizzy. What next, 'droid? Are you about to give me a rectal examination too?”
“There is no need for one at the moment,” Gale said, confused. “Unless you are seeking prostate stimulation—”
“No!”
Amidst the softly thrumming melancholy of a dystopian, cyber-punk city, former corporate-rat Astarion Ancunín, who has long since lost the will to live, finds himself in possession of a G-413 or "Gale" - an amnesiac android who, strangely enough, enjoys living.

How was he supposed to know a deal he made before he was turned could come back to haunt him now? He's already got more than enough on his plate without adding curses to it too.

Summary
These days, most everybody in camp had learned to wave away Astarion’s advances with a laugh. They found the flirtation titillating, Gale figured, or a bit threatening, or some combination of the two. He wondered if anybody else found it sad.
