Summary
There are two types of people in a small town. The ones who are suffocating, counting down every day until they can leave, and the ones who stay.
Sirius leaves. Regulus doesn't.
When Sirius returns six years later, it's to find that nothing is quite as he expected.
Sometimes you break the cycle, and sometimes, it breaks you.

Summary
Regulus is in search of change, for something to fill the ever growing void in his chest that has been inside him for as long as he can remember. He leaves Paris and his ballet company behind to move back to London, where his friends, his old company and his brother are waiting for him. He tries to fill the void with all sorts of unhealthy things, but something—rather someone keeps trying to get in the way.
James is happy with his life, he’s good at his job, he loves his friends, he has a nice flat, so why isn’t that enough? Why is the smile that he’s had plastered across his face all his life starting to feel forced? He’s met head on by a force of nature, a storm in the form of a mean, stubborn and ridiculously pretty ballet dancer and he starts to realise what he’s been missing all this time.

Summary
James Potter, former drummer for The Marauders, goes live on Instagram to quell some of the quietness of his empty flat. After being badgered to sing something he's working on, he picks a random song he doesn't remember writing to sing for the fans. The song brings up a few memories.
---
"The Universe likes to give Sirius things before me. And make him better at things than me."
This is met by a quiet scoff. "That's not true, Reg."
"It is. He got famous before I did. He got to you before I did. He's definitely a better musician than me. I'll spend the rest of my life being his little brother."
" You know what I think?"
"What?"
"I think you're better than him. "
