Summary
In a world in which humans and vampires live side by side, Seonghwa is a struggling human desperate for a steady income and a roof over his head. He applies to be a personal feeder for a vampire, to serve as a constant supply of blood and nothing more. However, he does not anticipate being assigned to the head of the most powerful coven in the area, Kim Hongjoong.
Seonghwa has never had a home, but he begins to find one in the least likely of places, discovering that Hongjoong and the vampires within his coven are kinder than most of the humans he’s encountered in his life. But humans look down on feeders, and Seonghwa catches the eye of many vampires as he becomes a permanent fixture at Hongjoong’s side.
He isn’t safe from anyone, humans or vampires alike, and when disaster strikes he finds himself more entangled with Hongjoong and his coven than he had ever expected.

Another absolute smasher from this author. Warning, it gets DARK in the later chapters and I urge you to read tags. Don’t let it put you off, it’s brutal but only because of how much love the author has woven into her characters that it breaks you to see them hurting. The fic has a happy ending and it’s well earned. This author has orphaned all their work now (which is a shame because I think they were tormented out of writing by bullies) and it honestly is so good. They appear 3 times in this almost 200 bookmarks long list now, that’s a big deal. If you haven’t read this, you like vampires and you like things a bit gritty - this is for you. Give it a go.

Summary

When an ambulance call leads him to a wounded gang leader, he treats the man with kindness and gentle hands despite his reputation. The fic that broke the fic-wall and entered fandom space. HJ couldn’t wear leather without someone referencing Orchid and tbh it was well deserved. This piece caught the minds of many and it’s good. It’s a shame inexperiencedandconfused decided to leave (they started getting crappy behaviours thrown at them) but I’m so pleased they orphaned rather than deleted their work because we still get to enjoy them. I do hope they come back, they’re on my bookmarks 3 times now for bangers and I haven’t read a piece of work of theirs I haven’t enjoyed. If you haven’t read the Orchid yet, what are you waiting for!

I don’t have the words for this fic. It is literally an epic fantasy. The colour and depth the authors write into the characters, world building and universe is just spot on and the words whizzed by. I wasn’t ready or willing to reach the end, it was that good. I adored the plot line and seeing the boys come together and go on an epic adventure to save the Vale. It was honestly perfection. I 100% recommend this to anyone who loves to become immersed in a piece and find their plans get blown out of the water because they can’t put a fic down (I’m not even mad about it, it was brilliant!). I wish there was more (though what we get is more than enough!). Treat yourself!

So this one is LENGTHY and you really need to be in a good headspace to read it if you have experienced anything similar in the past. Without going into too much about me, the DA and the long-term impact of abuse is huge but I felt the author got that perfectly and handled it with such care and respect. Yes, there were bits that were powerful and so hard to read (note the fic does have a scene of DA in it but also the DA is a lynch pin throughout because of the impact it had on Jimin) but when it all came together, it was beautiful, heart rending but also healing. I honestly didn’t notice all those words going by, I was that invested in this journey and if 30 more chapters appeared suddenly with 300k more words I would have been thrilled and committed into walking alongside this couple. I am so proud of Jimin and his growth in this fic!
The BDSM element of this was well researched and understood and wasn’t the sole focus of this, though it again was a strong undercurrent to Jimin’s healing and growth. The family/friends feels were massive and I could happily read an offshoot of just them. I highly recommend this fic, and this author, I just wish I could start this all again for the first time.

This was PERFECTION. I can’t even tell you how many hours of sleep I have lost, gripped in the well written, well paced and bloody brilliant grip of this fic and this author. I am shattered. My eye bags have eye bags but it’s worth it. Every spare second I had, I was gobbling up words and loving it. I didn’t want it to end. The word count just flew by and I could have happily had more.
I can’t recommend this more. It was full of feels, a rollercoaster of wtf at times and overall perfect. Treat yourself and bring snacks. And caffeine. Or just freeball it like me and have eye bags that could carry the national debt. WORTH IT.
