If only he realized the subterfuge was unnecessary for our bleeding heart Tav, who would have understood and accepted him as he is. His only desire was a true ally, a partner to trust, but he knew nothing of the word. Everyone always falls victim to their nature in the end, be it a scheming mastermind fueled by ambition, or a hopeless cleric desperately clinging to compassion. With every shattering revelation, each new truth revealed, a layer pulls back until we at last arrive at the final choice. Who wins when illithid prowess and divine intervention vy for Tav's soul in equal measure? Victory or redemption, or heartbreak and madness?

She was ice reaching for the heat to thaw her sleeping fingers. He was fire searching for the chill to tame his warring temper. When circumstance, or the Grand Plan, brings them together, the resulting chemical reaction isn't quite so explosive. Rather, a steady simmer, a heat that seeks to consume everything with calculated precision. Until the control slips, leaving behind the guise of scientific metaphors, and only truth—as painful as it may be—remains.
If one could romance in the game, this is my take on a romanceable Vicar Max.

This little one-shot set is based off of Haurchefant Greystone's interaction/actions/dialog in the Japanese version of the game! The Warrior of Light simply wants to visit the man who makes their heart race, not expecting he'll bring them back to his chambers. It's cold in Coerthas, and this man deserves the love.

“How long has it been since you’ve slept?”
Tav is eyeing Halsin suspiciously from the opposite end of Art’s bedside, where he’s been keeping watch over the sick man for days. At least, Halsin thinks it’s been days– perhaps three (or maybe four?) at the most. It is difficult to keep track in the Shadowlands.
At any rate, he cannot answer her immediately, which means his answer is insufficient.
“If you have to think about it,” Tav continues, “It’s been too long.”
She has a point.
