Getting dressed in his bathroom, he studied his appearance in the mirror, taking in how much more elegant he looked already. Then he noticed something. Summary
At twenty-seven, Bryan Hodukavich had a safe, ordinary job and no reason to leave it. Then came Raccoon City. He survived that night on luck alone, so when a secret government agency built to stop the next disaster came calling, he said yes.
At fifty, Bryan thinks he has seen it all. 23 years of close calls have convinced him there is no mission he can’t walk away from.
He is wrong. He is betrayed and doesn’t walk away.

“Am… am I in heaven?” The words are hard to push past his heavy tongue, but he has to ask the question. “I'm dead, and you're an angel, right?”
He opens his eyes, just barely. His vision is blurred, especially in his right eye, but he's able to make out the vague silhouette of a person standing above him. Broad shoulders and shiny blonde hair. He thinks their eyes might be blue.
Totally an angel.
AU in which Bryan survives, is cured, and Leon is kind of obsessed with him.

Bryan nearly gives Leon a heart attack when he lifts his shirt and shows a haphazardly stuffed handgun that's sticking out of the waistband of his jeans.
“Don't put that there,” Leon says hurriedly, willing his heart to calm down. He keeps imagining the horror of it going off and blowing clean through Bryan's femur. “And - hey, wait. That's a standard glock that's issued to all American officers. Did you steal that?”
Bryan at least has the decency to blush in embarrassment as he hastily shoves the hem of his shirt back down.
