Summary
Lumiose is ever changing, ever developing. But the sun and the moon will always rise and set. The city will soon bask in their eclipse.
Sundew came back to Lumiose after five years, as laid-back as can be. The city he grew up in would never hurt him. But he was running, even still. He had burned up the old him. But ashes clung to things, and no one can really get the smell of fire out of their clothes, even if they’re not the one that set it.
Midnight was on her own for the first time in her life, and it had her anxiety spiked so bad she was almost drowning in it. But the city called, asking her to answer. Asking her to find herself within it, and protect those she found herself among.
Lumiose was a shining light, reflecting the brilliance of all within. The moon reflecting her peoples sun. The sun shining on his people’s moon. The center of gravity that caught everything in its orbit. A brilliant eclipse calling all to witness.

Zane confirms the sight in front of him. Kai is sitting on a stool beside the bathtub, with dried blood and soot caked into his hair. He sits defeated and weak, with his arms hanging onto the side of the bathtub wall for balance. He’s gritting his teeth in pain, and dried gauze hangs around his torso, showing his endlessly scarred and blistered sternum in the full spotlight. The shower head lays on the floor, the obvious culprit of the clattering sound.

Ever since Kazuki told Rei he loved him on the couch a few weeks ago, Rei’s grown aware of three weaknesses he possesses — three that haven’t been pounded into his psyche with all the delicacy of a sledgehammer since childhood, that is.
Firstly: he’s not very good with words.
Secondly: he’s even worse at handling the knowledge that Kazuki is really and truly in love with him.
Thirdly: when he’s really sleep-deprived, all he wants is to curl up in Kazuki’s arms and bask in his warmth forever and ever and ever. Embarrassing.
