Summary
A world where monsters are still hunted and humans don't accept them.
Task Force 141 consists of monsters of every kind. Even their allies have more monsters in their teams than humans.
That will change once a tired John Price and an insisting Kate Laswell need a demolition expert and only humans are available. That's when Captain John Price remembers a Scotsman he met long ago during a training. He looks for him because he knows he is a good person and a ray of sunshine that might help his bunch of suicidal dark-thoughts monsters to brighten a bit in a cruel world for them.
So Price asks for him, and John "Soap" MacTavish is transferred to the 141 immediately. However, there is a problem. Not that the monsters in the 141 are upset, intrigued, or (a particular one) want to murder Price for his decision.The problem is that Johnny is unaware of the 141 being a squadron of monsters. He knows that monsters exist, but has never met one before, or at least he believes that.

Wing!fic AU.
One of the things Roba did was cut off Ghost’s wings, leaving him to struggle to relearn how to be deadly and efficient in a field of work where being slow and weak will get you and your team killed.
Ghost is surviving, but he’s not living.
Then he meets John “Soap” MacTavish. And when the man opens his wings for the first time, Ghost sees his own missing ones staring right back at him.
Soap wants to unravel the mystery that is Simon “Ghost” Riley, starting with why he’s never see the man’s wings or been allowed to train aerial drills with him. But in Soap’s worst case scenario, he never would have guess the real reason behind the secrecy.

Summary
They have kept him longer than they usually do, John absently thought. He sighed. At least their tormentors had left him alone while he was sick. He missed Riley. He looked around the cell. The cell seemed larger, quieter, and empty without the sizeable hybrid wolf. He wrapped the dirty blanket, one of the few comforts he was allowed, around his shoulders to fend off the chill from the concrete walls. His body shook with a fit of wheezing coughs.

After being caught by Roba, John is thrown to the "dogs" as a meal. What Roba hadn't planned for is that Riley, one of his favorite "pets", would grow attached to his dinner. Ultimately giving Roba something to use to control Riley with. When John gets sick Riley is ready to do whatever Roba wants to get necessary medication for Johnny, even leave him behind to complete a task for Roba. Johnny will be safe in the cell until he returns in a few short days.
