“Dying…? Wait. V? the Merc who fought off a gang of Scavs with River locked out for the the room? “What…?”
V didn’t answer him. She was clearly still mad. She went to turn away but River reached out with his metal hand trapping her wrist.
She tried pulling away but her didn’t let go. “V, you could have-“
“No i couldn’t. kay? wanna know why River? huh? I didn’t wanna break your heart. I know how you feel, i tried letting you down gently because i know that that there will be no future for us.”
River searches her face then he took her jaw in his hand “V…”
“Shit River.” She grabbed his Snyth-Fur lined jacked pulling him down crashing his lips into hers. River’s eye flew open. his head beating fast against his rips and then he closed his only eyes groaning into the kiss holding her against him.”
