Pomni whirled around to face Zooble. “What?”
Zooble looked right at her. “Pomni. You gotta let him go.”
Her chin quivered, and tears threatened to spill out.
She raised her head resolutely to meet Zooble’s eyes.
“He didn’t want to go.”
Pomni decides to find out if she can still communicate with an abstracted Jax.

"She's so mean, taking your Jax,” he noted, surprising Pomni as his gaze flickered over her shoulders. “I’d never let anyone take me from you; I’d be yours forever, Miss Pomni. I can be your Jax,” he drawled, sweetly with something hidden under his tone. Pomni felt herself tense at his words, and she swallowed thickly, suddenly feeling like prey in front of the more timid, sweet Jax.
“What—He’s not mine—and isn’t that your Pomni?” she stammered out, shifting unsteadily on her feet as Evil Jax narrowed his eyes playfully and moved his hand from flicking her hat down to her jawline, cupping her chin eagerly.
"All Pomni’s are my Pomni, including you,” he murmured, making her heart skip a beat. Where had this version come from? She thought, frozen in his grip, her eyes wide and alert as the pink rabbit giggled to himself.
