    Young Bruce had always been excited about the idea of love. He found the thought of marrying a woman and making her as happy as his father, Thomas Wayne had made his mother Martha, over the years was the best thing he could hope for in life. He had asked his father on multiple occasions what the secret to a happy marriage was, to which his father always responded with some line about "The mark never lies"

    The mark he was referring to is a small handwritten name that appears on a person's skin after their 8th birthday. The name was said to be the name of the person's soulmate, written in the soulmate's handwriting and hair color. Bruce had known about these fated marks since he discovered his father's name on his mother's right breast in his father's sleek handwriting, when she had chosen to wear an especially low-cut gown to a gala two years prior.

    So, when Bruce finally reached the age when his soulmate’s name was supposed to appear on his body, calling him "ready" was an understatement.

    Bruce had dedicated his entire life to proving that omegas were just as capable and independent as alphas, spending every day defying expectations. He didn't need any alpha, nor could he imagine serving as a mere breeding vessel. Seeing other omegas in that state made him nauseous. How could they endure being treated as inferiors?

    His life was completely different. If it weren't for the fact that the country established a mandatory mating system to increase the birth rate, of course, regardless of the omegas' wishes, without considering their desires, much less Bruce's and his refusal.

    Subjected to a compatibility assessment, he is paired with Clark Kent, a pure alpha he knows nothing about and with whom he has no interest in starting a family. Bruce detests him, while for the alpha, the attraction to the omega was immediate, deciding he would be his even before they were forced to live together. Their cohabitation is constantly fraught with conflict because neither is willing to compromise their convictions.

    Or, Superbat in an omegaverse universe where they experience a slow-burn romance between enemies to lovers (actually, it's just Bruce) :D
