Summary
The Captain's cabin has been heavily modified in a way that might account for the odd way the ship had behaved in the water as they chased it down. There was a hole in the floor, and fresh timber showing recent modifications to the roof.
All of this had clearly been necessary to account for the brutally pruned Oak tree that still spanned at least two decks, disappearing down through the floor into the hold below. It was a sorry sight, nearly all the branches bare and harshly truncated, the remaining leaves wilting and discolored
Even worse was the man.
Grey-brown skin shaded into sun-touched green around the eyes and trailing up towards finely pointed ears and into the hairline, textures varying from smooth as heartwood to rough bark, to tender leaf-like hair.
A fucking dryad, in the middle of the blessed fucking ocean, surrounded on all sides by salt water.

Summary
Omegaverse AU: Where it’s common for alphas in the military to regularly engage the services of omegas, in order to prevent ruts interfering with their work.
When alpha Ghost invites alpha Soap to share an omega for that very reason, Soap expects a night of awkward, one-sided sex that he’ll inevitably regret. Because even alphas as close as they are can become dangerously territorial, when omegas are involved.
Maybe it’s a good thing, then, that the omega never shows up at all.
