    Grian paused as his tiny delusion broke. Right. He was only here for work. He ignored the loneliness tugging at his chest as he shrugged.

    “Work. Come to these States often this time of year,” He gave a playful smile, “You think my accent’s pretty?”

    “I think more than just your accent is pretty.” Grian watched as the man's eyes flickered to his lips.

    Now here he was, hidden away in his hotel room with a man he didn’t know.

    A smile spreads across Scar's face, "I'm sure you will. Soon enough." He chuckles, the hint of a promise in his voice.

    Grian's new coworker is quite a weird fellow—not that he knows anyone who's considered normal—and yet, something about Scar chimes the alarm bells in Grian's brain.

    There's always something off about him: something off about his smile, something off about the way he keeps chasing after Grian, something off about his enthusiasm with a special serial killer on the loose.

    And despite all the warnings looping through his brain like a broken record, despite the tension in his muscles and sense of pure, unfiltered danger whenever he's around with Scar—Grian does possibly the dumbest, most stupid thing he's ever done: get close to someone he never should've met.
