Optimus Prime was dead.
This along with the fact that; the Decepticons were on the attack, communications with Moon Base one and two had been lost, and Autobot City was in ruin, spelt out to the remaining Autobots that they weren’t going to win the war.
Though worse turned to hopeless, when the Matrix of Leadership fell to the ground and proceeded to break in two.
However, no one had known that it was because the Matrix had found two capable candidates for the next Prime, and it just so happened that those two had been Optimus’ adopted sons.
Hot Rod and Bumblebee.
AKA: the 1986 Movie AU, where Bumblebee was on Earth and not Moonbase Two, Hot Rod has Bumblebee as an adopted brother, and Ratchet survives by sleeping

Summary
It was no secret that most feared the unknown. Things beyond a person’s understanding often scared them away from ever knowing or looking.
Sailors and pirates however, did not obey this common knowledge.
In their eyes, if a captain turned their back on a challenge or bet that any reasonable person would deny, they were a coward that didn’t deserve their ship nor crew.
This is why after Meta had rescued the king of the ocean from the clutches of the Squeaks, and received a challenge from said king that he was determined to see the siren once again. There were absolutely no ulterior motives for this desire.

Summary
It was a common theme in every old sailor’s tall-tale that the sea held mystery and wonder that none could comprehend.
Stories of larger than life beasts that could bring an entire galleon down without so much as a warning were passed around from port to port.
However, Meta, the captain of the Halberd and the rival of the Squeaks, doesn’t believe in those far fetched tales. However he can’t deny that there might be something odd lurking in the water, as he realizes that the treasure he and his crew had been chasing, the broach of the ocean king, doesn’t follow any of the current patterns.

Summary
After only a week, Lycio’s life has changed dramatically. His mother sometimes uses their correct name and pronouns, she also stopped looking for suitors for him, and they’re not being forced to join the council! It truly seemed like their life was looking up and he could be who they wanted to be. Not to mention a letter from his dad arrived, telling them that he found a sword fighting teacher just like Lycio always dreamed!
However far off in a the galaxy, an ancient evil had been brewing and is now ready to release havoc upon the galaxy and it’s now the job of the Galactic Army to stop the beasts created by the dark wizard, Nightmare.

And that’s why he was back here. The pull of that warm, fuzzy feeling felt intoxicating. Orion obviously didn’t expect it, if he did, he probably would have tried to capture it, then store it into a precious part of his mind for easy access. But now, he has resorted to this. It shouldn’t be hard — again, it’s not like he hasn’t done it before — but this felt different. Such a breach of privacy with his best friend felt wrong. But was anything Orion doing ever right? He slacked off work, breached archives, sold sensitive information, forged contraband… Orion erased the moral part of his programming a long time ago. He couldn’t even remember if he had one to begin with.
So why was this so difficult?
[My own Transformers: Shattered Glass AU, modeled upon Transformers One, with Orion Pax and D-16 swapped in roles. This AU is largely contributed with art and ramblings in equal parts with Ornith and Joan (@ornithyristor & @harquebuse respectively on twt) who have basically been my cheerleaders whilst I wrote this.]
