Summary
At eleven, Tim Drake tried to blackmail Batman into making him Robin. Batman made it clear that he did not want another Robin, and certainly didn't want Tim. Which is...fine. But Batman tattling to his parents about Tim's hobbies and getting him sent to a boarding school overseas feels a little targeted. Now, he is back in Gotham under the conditions of 1) not bothering the Waynes, 2) not blabbing about his home life, and 3) following through on "familial duties."
So, why is Dick Grayson trying to talk to him at a gala?
Or:
Tim misunderstands adults, Dick is concerned, Bruce is trying very hard to adopt this feral child, and Jason is still Tim's favorite superhero.

Summary
Tim Drake is on the way home from school when he's taken by a group of strange men. When he comes to he's tied up in an unfamiliar house.
With his captors failing to reach his parents for ransom, he's able to escape, only to discover he's no longer in Gotham, and he has no way home.
“I could, but that’s the fine if you don’t come over next weekend.” Jason explains. “Because now B’s going to be all broody this weekend, and if I have to deal with that two weekends in a row, I get to eat your chips.”
“Alright, fine I’ll come over next weekend if you're so…” Dick trails off as he notices something strange on the sidewalk in front of him. “Jay I’ve got to go, I’ll call you back.”
“Dick, Wha-” Dick hangs up before Jason can finish, he feels bad, but this is more pressing. A small figure is trudging through the storm, occasionally stumbling like they’re injured. Far too tiny to be an adult.

“Actually… speaking of…” Wong started, the idea solidifying in her mind as she trailed off.
The GCPD was a superstitious group, so it was taboo to say his name out loud. Kind of a ‘speak of the devil and he shall appear’ thing. But everyone got the hint. If she played her cards right, tonight she would see the Bat.
“Hell no! Matter fact, it’s probably one of his spies.”
“It’s a bat, Martinez,” Montoya sighed.
“Yeah? Maybe it’s got a tiny camera implanted on its forehead. Or, he’s a vampire, so he can control it.”
“Mitchell already has it out for Gordon. If the freak wants to come get it, let him,” Bullock said, neither confirming nor denying the vampire allegation.
(Or, there's an actual bat on the loose and wreaking havoc in the GCPD. There's only one logical person to ask for help.)
