"My mind wasn’t at the table.

I’d rehearsed my words for him all summer.
    A hundred versions.
    A thousand.
Each sharper than the last. Controlled disappointment. Bitten back anger. Maybe a slap. Maybe something worse. And beneath every draft? The same humiliating hope that he would just look at me and say that he was sorry.

So, where the bloody hell—𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘩𝘦?

The feast moved around us with its old, clockwork precision and I played my part without thinking. A smile here. A polite nod there. But my gaze kept slipping back—

    toward the doors,
    toward the dark,
toward the spaces he should have filled.

    Still empty.
    Still 𝘯𝘰 Sebastian.”

    !!𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙋𝙇𝙀𝙏𝙀𝘿!!

My very first fic! This is the first installment of three! It took me well over a year to finish this story (and plan the other books) but I'm so excited to finally share it here with you all. Sorry in advance if it’s not your thing. There are a few minor canon changes that I explain in the prologue (as well as introduce our fmc!) & to be fair, in my own defense--YOU are my beta reader so--gg.

    Summary

Book Two of The Wielder’s Legacy.

Elowyn Fox returns to Hogwarts determined to complete her seventh and final year. But when an international tournament brings new champions—and the scrutiny of the wizarding world—to the castle, its increasingly dangerous trials suggest someone is manipulating the competition.

Caught between Sebastian Sallow, whose devotion burns as fiercely as his recklessness, and Ominis Gaunt, whose love comes with a courtship governed by his family’s expectations, Elowyn can no longer pretend her heart belongs wholly to either of them. As the Gaunts take an increasing interest in her power—and in whether she is suitable for Ominis—their attention begins to feel more like a claim.

With suspicion closing around her, Elowyn must uncover the truth behind the Tournament before its final trial demands everything she has left.

Sequel to When the Skies Fall. This story is intended to be read in order.

    Summary

When magic came to Marian Carrow, she expected a sweet release from her squib life, hidden away by a desperately ashamed pureblood father. What she did not anticipate was the year of bloodshed that awaited at the school she'd longed to attend all her life. Nor the friends she'd make and be betrayed by, nor the dark forces hell-bent on finding her, nor the way she'd be tested by the lure of a unique and ancient power irresistible to a much stronger witch than she, centuries before her.

No, Marian Carrow wasn't ready for any of it. But, in going from squib to special, she had no choice but to fall, headlong, and hope she survived.

    Summary

“Hello Aesop, what do I have the plea-”

“Do not try to appease me at this hour,” Aesop hissed, striding into the room without a second thought as he quickly scanned over the maps and books covering the desk. “Where is your student?”

“Unfortunately, I cannot tell you.” Fig sternly replied as Aesop’s lips twitched, face eerily still and devoid of any emotion. “So pray tell,” He slowly stated, “As a professor, how should one react when a student doesn’t show up to detention?”

The former auror's gaze was ice cold; the warmth from the fire dissipated immediately as he spoke: “Tell me, Eleazar, did you send your student to the second trial alone?”

OR: The keepers ordered you to partake in the trials, but a large, black-feathered mass clearly didn't abide by the rules of magic, nor seem to care as you unwillingly fell through the gateway, pushed by the new friend perched on your shoulder.

Honestly, did a grumpy corvid really count as aid? Even if it did resemble a familiar stern professor...
