What if Gwen never went to visit Miles? What if the events of ATSV never took place? What if Jefferson Morales died at the hands of The Spot? In this alternate timeline of the Spider-Verse series, Gwen never went to see Miles and he never followed her across the Spider-Verse as a result of it. Miles’ canon event took place, resulting in the death of his father. Now, he is operating as Spider-Man while simultaneously holding down a job to help his mother pay the rent despite his ongoing grief. Miles/Spider-Man represents all of the good in humanity and provides the city in which he resides in a hope it so-desperately needs.
Gwen, on the other hand, never ended up leaving the Spider-Society. Keeping an eye on Miles through the Society’s archives, she’s always told herself that she didn’t intervene in order to keep Miles safe. However, what happens when a new Canon Event arises?: The death of Miles Morales.

One: For a moment, brief as it may have been, his spider-sense had gone quiet, as if he was as safe as he would have been inside of his own apartment.
Two: The gunman had cried.On their own, these truths mean nothing. Together, held up against a light, Peter can't help but think they look suspiciously similar to a girl with red hair and a penchant for solving problems from a long distance.
