Jax stared at her as if she’d hung the moon and the stars herself. Perhaps she had, in a way, lighting her room with a celestial projection.
Ribbit leaned closer, lightly rubbing her thumb along Jax’s face to her lips. She paused, staring into Jax’s almost black-engulfed eyes, her pupils so large that Ribbit couldn’t see any yellow.
“Is this...okay?” Ribbit asked.
OR; Kaufmo never knocks on Ribbit’s door, and Jax comes out in more ways than one.

Summary
Jax opened her eyes, tense and slow.
Pomni was gone, pulled back into the circus.
Now? Jax had no idea where she was.
A vast field lay before her, a composition of flowers blooming across it. A soft buzz sounded through the air, causing Jax to turn around, meeting eyes with a miniature bee. There were quite a few bees, actually, along with butterflies too. An open, cloudless sky hung above, the sun glimmering through, not the annoying one from the circus, but a normal one. Jax never thought she'd see one again.
