Summary
Obi-Wan knows he should go home and rethink his life, but he doesn’t have the strength. Not anymore. Not when the newly established Empire Day is forcing him to remember everything he lost. So he accepts the offer of a death stick.
Now Anakin is here, twenty-three, alive and happy. He never left Tatooine, never let Obi-Wan fail him as a mentor. Obi-Wan knows it’s not real, just a hallucination. But maybe he can let himself pretend. Just this once.

Summary
“I knew you loved me, Master,” Anakin teased.
Caught off guard, Obi-Wan stopped. His heart stuttered a beat. “I—”
A wholly awkward pause. Say something.
But he couldn’t. Because the words that had instinctively formed on his tongue—I do, more than anything—simply wouldn’t do.
OR: 5 times Obi-Wan doesn't say "I love you" to Anakin, and 1 time he does. In which Anakin blows up the kitchen, drinks tea, gives away his padawan braid, pilfers his poor master’s breakfast, apologizes for his arrogance, and becomes a ghost. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan slowly comes to terms with his allergy to the L-word.
