Summary
Percy has been a major and minor player for the past couple prophecies, and for her plans to succeed she needs to be rid of him. Sadly even tricking him into Tartarus didn't work. A new plan comes to mind to be rid of him and for her to win once and for all, even at the cost of when it will occur.
Percy wakes ashore to different waters, where there is no God to hear his wishes and unfriendly faces and secrets dug in every corner. Thoughts of laying low in this new life is torn apart as he learns of just how terrible a world can be when power is left to the hands of selfish humans. Of the games where children are sacrificed. One of which he is more than able to be pulled for, and the Capitol will not let him miss the excitement.

And as his father recoiled, asking if that man was the homunculus in the flask, all he could see was that Al's murderer bore the appearance of the only family he had left.

"You gave me blood. In return, I gave you knowledge and freedom; now I've given you a body that will live forever."
OR, Edward is born in 1488, and when Father attempts to immortalize Van Hohenheim, Edward is caught up in the circle. Newly immortal, the only family he has left is a man he's grown to resent and his brother's soul, trapped within his chest. Over the course of four hundred years, Edward fights to separate the souls in the stone, because there isn't a world where he won't give up everything for Alphonse.

Al smiled, and he had forgotten how the muscles felt tightening around his cheeks, but maybe, just maybe, with his brother at his side, he could remember.
