Summary
She closes her eyes and lays her head back onto the towel just behind her. Laudna is sitting on her right, and the two of them are up to their chins in the steamy water of a hot spring. Fearne is just across from them, too, because how could they go to a spa and not bring Fearne with them? The sounds of water burbling gently over a decorative rock formation and into the pool serve as their background. Silence lazily stretches onward between the trio, uninterrupted in their private room.
Imogen sighs, a small smile pulling at the corners of her lips. She squeezes Laudna's hand under the cloudy water. Her smile widens when she hears Laudna giggle and squeeze hers back, and Imogen's thumb gently rubs back and forth across the knobby joints of Laudna's knuckles.
It's utter bliss, really.
Or...
Fearne asks Imogen and Laudna which of them is the better kisser. It goes about as well as you'd expect.

Summary
Imogen and Laudna walk together in the forest nearby their cottage. In the crook of Laudna’s elbow, she carries an empty wicker basket for the things they find along their walk. Imogen’s wanted to make a stew of some sort, and she says that she can’t possibly make it if she doesn’t have any mushrooms to go into it, so that’s what Laudna is looking for. Laudna’s eyes are wide open, blinking owlishly as she scans the forest floor for edible ones. The crisp, early-autumn breeze pulls at her shawl, and she recoils as it blows up into her face.
Once Laudna’s gotten her shawl under control, she hears giggling at her side.

Laudna has a lot of fun with Imogen in the forest, mostly with her mouth.

Summary
Due to Laudna’s strength, Imogen did a lot of the heavy lifting throughout the day. While she does understand and it isn’t Laudna’s fault, Imogen still wishes that she didn’t have to do as much of it. She can barely lift her arms past chest-height, now, as she tries to pull their shared blanket over their legs.
“Glad we could–”
“Wha-What’s that?” the Halfling interrupts. “S-Speak up, girl, I c-can’t hear you.”

Summary
There’s always a meetup beforehand, in some parking lot somewhere a good distance away. Imogen sighs heavily as she backs her precious ride into a spot at the 7/11 on Black Horse Pike for the time being, already seeing the crowd gathering around to take a look at her car. She feathers the throttle, the turbo spooling up just enough to be heard, tapping the brake once she’s a couple feet away from the bushes behind her, and throws the floor-mounted shifter into park.
Imogen hates crowds. It’s why she doesn’t go to car shows. Why she only does the required meetup before the money gets thrown down for winnings and bets.
Before the race begins.

Summary
Laudna walks hand in hand alongside Imogen, as she always does, nowadays. The cold breeze tosses her worn black skirts and her hand-sewn black shawl about her, and she involuntarily shivers a little. The fact that she has a reaction of any sort, even after a few years separated from their grand adventures with the rest of Bell’s Hells, is a marvel she’ll never get used to. She gazes up at the clouds looming above them growing darker as a storm from the mountains blows in. Despite it, though, they’re not hurrying their stride to get back home any faster. It would never do to rush one of their walks, Laudna thinks as she closes her eyes, taking a deep breath of the crisp air.

Imogen and Laudna get caught out in the rain, and once they get home, they have sex on their dining table because they are so impatient.

All they’ve done is make dinner together in separate kitchens at three in the morning and send a stupid number of texts. All she is is a neighbor. And they've never even met.

Summary
Laudna looks a little shy suddenly as she reaches into a pocket. “It’s a Ring of Thought Detection,” she says. “I think it—it mimics your powers.”
They’ve talked about this, laying atop wrinkled sheets, lazy and glowing and spent. What a shame, Laudna had murmured into Imogen’s ear, that there wasn’t a way to have the magic flow the opposite direction, so that she could know what Imogen wanted, pull inspiration from her mind. Imogen had shivered, then taken Laudna’s hand and dragged it down between her legs to show her what that thought did to her.
Does to her. She’s definitely turned on. Can feel the excitement jumping in her. But—
But Laudna thinks Imogen is perfect. Thinks she’s amazing. Thinks she’s wonderful. The problem is, she’s really not. And if Laudna looks into Imogen’s head, Imogen is certain that she’ll find out.

Summary
On a long list of terrible ideas, Imogen reflected, this particular choice on her part really took the top spot.
Her therapy session that week had gone well. Really well, actually. So well that when her therapist had suggested Imogen "take a small step out of her comfort zone", Imogen had seized her rare confidence and decided she’d visit a coffee shop.
A loud coffee shop. Open to the public.
One with other people in it, to be clear.
