Summary
Astrid doesn't remember a lot of things. She doesn't remember the truck colliding with her car. She doesn't remember the smell of burning tyres; an acrid mix of tar and rubber. Doesn't remember the bolt cutters, the emergency services, or her funeral.
She remembers her little brother though; his paperbacks like a second wallpaper around the room. She remembers, and she tries to forget - tries to push them back in a box, and get on with whatever hellscape she's landed in. Of course, getting on-- or surviving - would be far easier without the disembodied voice of a Perfect Blonde in her head and a dwarf with leonine eyes and a predilection for chaos.

Summary
Bella's life was never normal by the hobbit standard, and after her parent's deaths it seemed easier to just give in to the pressure to conform. Until a unlikely group of arrogant, ungrateful and frankly alarming dwarves offer her a cause that might just make standing against the world worthwhile.
Or, in other words, my remake and extension of the hobbit tale, with female Bilbo and her fiery niece at the helm, in a world where hobbits and elves have animal forms and earthy powers. Get ready for a mostly fluffy, sometimes angsty, and alltogether sassy ride.

Summary
Mercedes “Mercy” Nilsen did not need any more complications in her life, thank you very much. As the reigning sovereign to the 10th Realm’s Fallen Angels, her days are spent coordinating between semi-hostile clans all vying for her favor with psychopathic intensity, attempting to juggle two dozen personal responsibilities owed to the greater forces of the universe, and subtly helping her best friend, Agent Sharon Carter, navigate the shadows of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s career ladder. Unfortunately, Fate hasn’t gotten the memo and so dumps a confused, vulnerable Winter Soldier in her lap shortly after HYDRA's very public drowning in the Potomac River.
Mercy’s unique abilities and experience with her mercenary people means she’s more than qualified to handle his volatile outbursts with minimal collateral damage. Not to mention she might finally learn to live for something other than her duties. However nothing good every comes without sacrifice. Only by cooperating together with the freshly woken James “Bucky” Barnes will Mercy have a chance of salvaging their new life as they try to build it together.
The catch will be if the strengths they both have hidden inside will break their enemies or each other first...Series
