At first surprised by his request, as if it was unexpected that someone would ask Penelope to dance, Portia smiled broadly and accepted. He thought she would push her daughter into his arms because she was not fast enough for her liking. He held out his hand to Penelope. She took it and he led her to the center of the room where other couples were dancing. They danced and Colin smiled warmly at her.
